Doris Tate
 Doris Tate elected to office in 1990 and took office on January 1, 1991. She attended Connors Junior College at Warner, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma. She is certified through continuing education by the Arkansas County Clerks Association through the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas and the International Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election Officials and Treasurers through the University of Missouri. She is currently Resolution Chair of IACREOT, on the Continuing Education Board of the Arkansas County Clerks Association, a Board member of the Commissioner of State Lands Advisory Council, a Board Member of Arkansas Valley Habitat for Humanity and the Area Agency on Aging. She has served on the Legislative Committee for the County Clerks Association for several years. In 1997, Ms. Tate monitored an election in Albania.

- Both parties must be 18 years or older and have certified proof of age (State-issued birth certificate, valid drivers license)
- The cost is $58.00 cash (no checks please)
- Certified copies of Marriage Licenses are available for $5.00.
- The Marriage License index dates back to 1865.
Information on Covenant Marriage License:
In order to have a Covenant Marriage License issued, which is optional, you must go through several months of counseling by a minister, priest, rabbi clerk of the Society of Friends, any clergy member of any religious sect, a licensed professional counselor, licensed associate counselor, licensed marriage and family therapist, licensed clinical psychologist or licensed associate marriage and family therapist.

| Voter Information |
- Must be 18 years of age, a US citizen and a resident of Sebastian County.
- In order to vote in an election, you must be registered 30 days before the day of the Election.
- Absentee voter applications: You can download the absentee voter application form or request your application by phone or in writing. All applications must be received in our office by mail or fax no later than 7 days before the election. (FS-784-1567, GW-996-4165). Absentee ballots are mailed out starting three weeks before an election.

- Applications for birth and death certificates are available. All birth and death records are recorded in Little Rock with the office of Vital Records. These records date back to 1914.
